PARIS, FEBRUARY 5, 2016: (DGW) - The pressure  on  Nigerians in the Diaspora will subside as the Central Bank of Nigeria, (CBN) has extended the compulsory  Bank Verification Number,( BVN) registration to June 30, 2016.

The extension became absolutely necessary resulting from the low turnout. The registration was originally billed to end on January 31, 2016, but reports say most Nigerian  banks customers in the Diaspora were unable to meet the deadline which informed the apex bank decision to extend the deadline to June 2016.

Reason tendered by the Central Bank of Nigeria for the extension borders on partly  inadequate information and partly inaccessibility to registration centres where customers could register.

Information on CBN website, reports say, has given detailed addresses where Nigerian bank customers in the Diaspora  could henceforth register in their various countries of residence.
