Umuahia the capital of Abia State was hit a pro-Biafran protest. The Indigenous People Of Biafra arrived the Abia State capital yesterday in a continuation of the agitation for the sovereign state of Biafra and the immediate and unconditional release of the detained IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
On arrival at Umuahia, the demonstrators marched through the major roads in the state capital under the watch of security operatives. The protest was peaceful and a spokesman of the group who spoke to our reporter said that IPOB has vowed to take the protest progressively to the nation's capital Abuja to press home their demand.
No arrest was made as the protest was entirely peaceful.
