Reports reaching our news desk say that the Federal Ministry of Justice is seeking a warrant from Justice Umar-led Code of Conduct Tribunal to arrest the senate president.
We reported yesterday that Mr Hassan a deputy director in the office of the Atorney-General of the Federation applied for the arrest order of Mr. Bukola Saraki for false declaration of assets.
The senate president today, Daily Globe Watch learnt, in a counter move despatched a team of lawyers to serve the tribunal with a copy of the ruling of Justice Ahmed Muhammed of the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court on why the trial should not be allowed to proceed.
Equally summoned by the Abuja Court were the chairman of the Tribunal, Justice Danladi Umar, Mr. Sam Saba of the Code of Conduct Bureau and Mr. Hassan who signed the charge against Mr. Bukola Saraki.
Sources further told Daily Globe Watch that Saraki's absence at the tribunal this morning to face the charges against him amid others angered the Ministry of Justice to press for an Arrest Warrant of Nigeria's number 3 man.
