• Killing Gadhafi was a mistake - President Obama

    16/Apr/2016 // 11021 Viewers

PARIS, APRIL 16, 2016: (DGW) -  PRESIDENT Barak Obama of the United States of America has for the first time publicly declared that the worst mistake made by his presidency was the lack of planning for the aftermath  of  Col. Muammar Ghadafi's  ouster in Libya.

This stunning disclosure  was made Sunday last week in a Fox News interview while reflecting on his legacy.

While further  blaming his administration, according to,  The Guardian,  for the intervention which, he said ,failed to resolve the problem, President Obama said his administration did not plan well to address the fundamental issues in the country after the death of Ghadafi which led to the emergence of violent extremists in the north African state.

Said Barak Obama,  ''My worst mistake was probably failing to plan for the day after what I think was the right thing to do in intervening in Libya.”

Since the ouster of Ghadafi, Libya has found itself being ruled by rival militias amid the growing influence of the Islamic State group.

  • Breaking: US Govt accuses Nigerian fed. lawmakers of raping girls, soliciting for prostitutes while on official trips to US

    16/Jun/2016 // 3767 Viewers

The United States Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. James Entwistle, has petitioned the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara, accusing some members of the lower chamber of improper conduct, attempted rape and soliciting for prostitutes while on official trip to the US. But, the affected lawmakers have denied all the allegations and threatened to sue the ambassador and the US government for “character defamation and a calculated attempt to ridicule the National Assembly.”

The Ambassador, in a letter dated June 9, 2016, addressed to Speaker Dogara, alleged that three members of the House namely: Hon. Mohammed Garba Gololo (APC, Bauchi), Hon. Samuel Ikon (PDP, Akwa Ibom) and Hon. Mark Gbillah (APC, Benue) had, on a recent visit to the United States for the International Visitor Leadership Program, brought disrepute to the parliament by soliciting for sex from prostitutes and grabbing hotel housekeeper in a bid to rape.

Ten lawmakers were invited by the US government for the International Visitor Leadership Program held between April 7 and 13, 2016 in Cleveland, Ohio.

They include: Gaza Jonathan Gbefwi (PDPNasarawa State), Danburam Abubakar Nuhu (APC-Kano State), Nkole Uko Ndukwe (PDP-Abia State), Rita Orji (PDPLagos State), Ayo Huliyat Omidiran (APC-Osun). Entwistle’s letter reads: “It is with regret that I must bring to your attention the following situation. Ten members of the Nigerian National Assembly recently travelled to Cleveland, Ohio as participants in the International Visitor Leadership Programme on good governance. We received troubling allegations regarding the behaviour of three members of the delegation to the U.S. Government’s flagship professional exchange programme.

“The U.S. Department of State and the Cleveland Council on World Affairs received reports from employees of the Cleveland hotel where the representatives stayed, alleging the representatives engaged in the following behaviour: “Mohammed Garba Gololo allegedly grabbed a housekeeper in his hotel room and solicited her for sex. While the housekeeper reported this to her management, this incident could have involved local law enforcement and resulted in legal consequences for Representative Gololo.

“Mark Terseer Gbillah and Samuel Ikon allegedly requested hotel parking attendants assist them to solicit prostitutes.”
Entwistle said the US government made efforts to authenticate these allegations.

His words: “The U.S. Mission took pains to confirm these allegations and the identities of the individuals with the employees of the hotel in Cleveland. The conduct described above left a very negative impression of Nigeria, casting a shadow on Nigeria’s National Assembly, the International Visitor Leadership Program, and to the American hosts’ impression of Nigeria as a whole.

“Such conduct could affect some participants’ ability to travel to the United States in the future.”

The ambassador acknowledged that “While the majority of Nigerian visitors to the United States do behave appropriately, even a few Nigerians demonstrating poor judgement leads to a poor impression of the Nigerian people generally, though it is far from accurate. Such incidents jeopardise the ability of future programming and make host institutions and organisations less likely to welcome similar visits in the future.”

Entwistle stated that the affected lawmakers did not show remorse when the issue was brought to them.

“In addition, most of the members of this group reacted very negatively to my deputy when she brought this matter to their attention, further calling into question their judgement and commitment to the goals of the International Visitor Leadership Programme. This leads us to question whether to include National Assembly members for other similar programmes in the future.

“I request, in the strongest possible terms, you share this message with members of the National Assembly so they understand the seriousness of these issues, and the potential consequences of their actions, not only for themselves as individuals, but also for the future of such programmes designed to benefit Nigeria,” he said in the letter.
But, Gbillah said that there was no iota of truth in what the ambassador said but a calculated attempt to cause disaffection between them and their wives, families and constituents as they were not given any fair hearing before the letter was sent to the speaker.

He said he was on the trip with his wife and baby and could not, in any way, solicit for sex from a prostitute.

He said: “This is an affront on the National Assembly and Nigeria, it appears they have ulterior motives. We are not going to take this lightly; we will take legal actions against the US government. It is a dent on our image.”

Narrating the story of their stay in US, Gbillah said: “I went on the trip with my wife and baby and insisted that she stayed with me, but they told me the accommodation was meant for only participants. So, at Cleveland Renaissance where we were, opposite the Quicken Loan Arena, the Cleveland Cavalier Basketball team played a match and many people came to lodge at the same hotel, and they claimed that we spoke with car park attendants. We didn’t go with cars, so how could we have spoken with attendants?” He explained that the first time he heard about the allegations was a month after they returned from the US and went to represent the speaker at the farewell dinner for the Chinese ambassador.
“…I saw the ambassador (Entwistle) and went to greet him and he told me how a few of us tarnished the image of the House. I advised him to make it formal so that we can know who was involved and what actually happened.

  • US approves $1.29bn sale of bombs to Saudi Arabia

    16/Nov/2015 // 414 Viewers

AFP/File | The US Congress will have to green light the deal, but the $1.29 billion dollar sale is likely to go through, with Saudi jets in action against rebel forces in Yemen

WASHINGTON (AFP) - The US government has approved a request from Saudi Arabia to buy more than 19,000 bombs and smart bombs for its air force, the State Department said Monday.

Congress will have to green light the deal, but the $1.29 billion dollar sale is likely to go through, with Saudi jets in action against rebel forces in Yemen.

The Saudi-led operation against the Huthi militia in Yemen has proved controversial, amid frequent reports of civilian casualties on the ground.

But Washington has stood by its ally, which is also a key player in the US-led coalition fighting the Islamic State jihadist group further north in Iraq and Syria.

The Defense Security Cooperation Agency said the Saudi air force's arsenal is low "due to the high operational tempo in multiple counter-terrorism operations."

The order includes 5,200 Paveway II laser-guided bombs in their GBU-10 and GBU-12 variants, along with 1,100 of the more modern, longer range GBU-24 Paveway III.

There are 12,000 general purpose bombs weighing between 500 and 2,000 pounds and 1,500 devastating 2,000-pound "bunker busters," the BLU-109 penetrator.

These are designed to smash hardened concrete structures.

In addition to the bombs themselves, the Saudis will receive thousands of "tail kits" to convert dumb munitions into satellite-guided smart bombs.

"The proposed sale augments Saudi Arabia's capability to meet current and future threats from potential adversaries during combat operations," the DSCA said.

"Providing these defense articles supports Saudi Arabian defense missions and promotes stability in the region."

  • Breaking! Jubiliation across the world as Obama moves to pardon all illegal immigrants in US before leaving office

    16/Nov/2016 // 2454 Viewers

Donald Trump won the election because of bold ideas and strategies. The American people are sick and tired of status quo and political speak. This country drastically needs to make changes, and immigration has just been moved toward the top of President Trump’s agenda.

When President Trump is sworn into office on January 20, 2017, he will vigorously work to ensure that we can truly make American both great and safe again.

Last Sunday, it was reported that Donald Trump planned to immediately construct the policies and strategy to deport the two to three million undocumented immigrants from the United States. Trump argued that we will not seek to disband families, but rather remove criminals starting in January.

Immediately following the announcement, President Obama decided to use his pen and phone in order to defy the American people one last time before he leaves office.

Reports are now surfacing that President Obama will pardon more than 1,000,000 immigrant Dreamers prior to Donald Trump being sworn in on January 20, 2017.

As of September 2016, more than 740,000 illegal immigrants have been approved for Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, an amnesty program that grants young adult illegal immigrants a two-year stay of deportation and issues them work permits, entitling them to driver’s licenses and some taxpayer benefits.

While Obama has yet to sign the order and take action, President-elect Donald Trump has signaled he would rip up that order on day one. Fearing Trump would undo all of his horrible Executive Orders, Obama indicated that he pleaded with Trump  to, “go slowly on rolling back those actions.”
President Obama will more than likely do everything in his power to defy what is best for America and keeping the American people safe.

Just to prove how badly we need President Trump’s Wall and immigration plans, here are some quick stats on illegal immigration:

92% of Americans consider illegal immigration to be a problem, 77% believe it to be a “very serious” problem.
90% of Americans Believe Illegal Immigration Serious Problem and most Want Expedited Deportations!
71% of illegal immigrants receive some form of government assistance.
Taxpayers have paid $183,394,400,000 on the cost of illegals in grades K-12 since 1996.

Since 2008, Obama has spent more than $30 BILLION to incarcerate illegals.

Since 2008, Obama has spent $113 BILLION on average annually on illegal immigration. That has cost taxpayers more than $900 BILLION since 2008.

We cannot afford to pardon another 1,000,000 illegal immigrants with a criminal record. It makes absolutely no sense to allow people to stay in this country while endangering the lives of Americans. We can no longer spend billions on illegals when the American people deserve those resources.

Under a President Trump, criminally illegal aliens will be deported as soon as January. From then on, we will continue to deport millions more while securing our border with our gigantic wall.

One step at a time, we are making American great (and safe) again!  This is good news, please share!

  • JUST IN: Again, anger against MUSLIMS thickens as man @ work beaten brutally by Muslims because 'he looks like TRUMP'

    16/Nov/2016 // 309 Viewers

We’ve been hearing about violent mob attacks taking place against random citizens for years now. In Europe, a wave of crimes committed by Muslim migrants has been quietly swept under the rug by the press. Negative reporting about migrants has been avoided in liberal European countries, with the official narrative being that they are a net positive.

Meanwhile on the streets, the results of the uncontrolled migrant crisis are impossible to ignore.

Anders Vendel got a recent reminder when the Sweden native was assaulted for being in the wrong place at the wrong time – and having the wrong hair color.

Swedish Cooking Show Personality Assaulted for "Looking Like Trump"

Swedish Cooking Show Personality Assaulted for “Looking Like Trump”
In a social media post that was quickly removed after the story went global, Vendel described how he was viciously beaten by an angry mob while he was waiting for a meal in a fast food restaurant. His crime? Having wild blond hair that looked a little too much like President Trump’s famous mane.

He posted photographic evidence of the assault, showing his face bloodied, bruised, and swollen.

The Tweet From the Emergency Room Shows Extensive Facial Injuries

According to his post from the emergency room of his local hospital, he had a broken nose, busted eye, busted lips, broken jaw, and a broken right thumb.

His message, roughly translated from Swedish, says of the attack:

“Located to the emergency room, and waiting now. I was beaten up by three Muslim men, ages 25-35. I was getting food from a restaurant and three men approached and began harassing me, saying I looked like Trump.

Two of them grabbed my arms from behind me, while the third man punched me repeatedly in the face and head. I’ve got a broken nose, clogged eyes, busted mouth, and broken right thumb. I wish I could get them one-on-one. They beat me in a pack!”
The incident took place in Malmo, Sweden’s port city that has become known as a “no-go zone” in recent years due to the influx of Muslim migrants. Local police, firefighters, and even medical personnel are reluctant to travel into some of the most dense Muslim neighborhoods, which are characterized as clannish and distrustful of outsiders.

  • Again, Trump knocks Buhari, says he's an insensible president

    16/Sep/2016 // 8544 Viewers

NEW YORK – Donald Trump, who is running as the Republican Presidential Candidate of the United States, referred to President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria as an ‘insensible president’ during one of his recent speeches. Donald Trump like we all know is outspoken. He is one politician who loves to air his opinion with little or no concern about how his subject receives the comment.

Some people would say Trump talks before thinking, others may say he is just being a blab, while a lot others simply love his undiplomatic approach to presenting speeches.

“No sensible president continuously travels round the globe while his country Nigeria is in terrible hardship and economic mess. It can only happen in Nigeria where all that matters to the President is the full introduction of Islam, annihilation of his political opponents and absolute extermination of the people of the old Eastern Nigeria. Buhari, prior to his questionable victory at the polls as the President of Nigeria made lots of promises which he has obviously failed to keep and in most cases denied.”

Trump is not far from the truth, as Buhari has made tons of trips since he became the Nigerian President. The likes of Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State do not buy the idea of Buhari’s frequent trips as he says it is detrimental to the finances of the nation. No doubt President Buhari’s trips are becoming “too often,” Nigerians now wait to hear the next announcement of yet another trip.

  • Breaking! Finally, United Nations wades into N'Delta crisis, pleads with N'Delta Avengers

    16/Sep/2016 // 2291 Viewers

The United Nations and the Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution on Thursday in Abuja urged aggrieved persons and groups in the country to allow peace to reign.

Speaking at a news conference on the commemoration of the forthcoming 2016 International Day of Peace, the Director-General of the IPCR, Prof. Oshita Oshita, said the IPCR had embarked on several peace-building interventions.

The director-general explained that the day would provide all aggrieved persons and groups with another opportunity to embrace negotiation in the interest of the country and humanity.

According to him, the day also requires all aggrieved persons and groups to agree to a ceasefire for, at least 24 hours, on the day as a respect for humanity.

“In the context of Nigeria, the 2016 International Day of Peace requires all aggrieved persons, groups and conflict actors to cause a ceasefire for at least 24 hours and allow peace to prevail.

“We demand all parties involved in crises in the country to agree to a ceasefire as no crisis can be resolved by violence; we still have to come to a roundtable for a meaningful resolution.

“We want to draw the attention of all conflict actors to the need to come to their senses in order to bring our country to the path of dialogue and development,” he said.

He appealed to state governments to ensure the commemoration of the day in their respective states to underscore the importance of entrenching the consciousness of peace in public and private conducts.

Oshita commended the Federal Government for giving Nigerians an opportunity to enjoy peace by bringing the Boko Haram down.

He enjoined Nigerians to join hands with the Federal Government to promote peaceful co-existence in order to attain the sustainable development goals.

“Take a decision to be a peaceful person today and help to underscore the significance of the “Change begins with me” philosophy of the Federal Government.

‘With peace, we can all have an economy and an investor-friendly country to help create jobs for our youth,” he said.

In his remarks, Peace and Development Adviser to the UN Development Programme, Dr. Zebulun Takwa, said the whole world looks up to Nigeria to come out of the current security challenge.

“The return of polio in the north-eastern Nigeria has been facilitated by the Boko Haram crisis and we are now spending hundreds of millions of naira to try to combat it.

“If ministries, departments and agencies had been spending just five per cent of their budgets in supporting peace-building, we would have re-oriented the minds of the citizens.

“Peace should not be a slogan for rhetoric, but we must all invest in it, and it involves money,” he said.

The Deputy Programme Manager, UN (Women), Mr. Peter Mancha, stressed the need to mainstream peace-building in development agenda, saying that the 17 sustainable development goals could not be achieved without peace.

He pledged that the UN Women would continue to work in Nigeria in the area of women, peace and security in line with the UN Security Council Resolution 1325.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria, the theme of the 2016 Day would be, “The Sustainable Development Goals: Building Blocks for Peace.”

    16/Sep/2016 // 285 Viewers

CHIEF of Army Staff (COAS) Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai has addressed top United States (U.S.) defence officials and policy leaders on the efforts being made by the military in the fight against insurgency in the Northeast.

Army spokesman Col. Sani Usman told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in a telephone interview that Buratai spoke at the Africa Center of the Atlantic Council in Washington DC, U.S.).

Usman said the presentation was titled: “Nigerian Army Challenges and Priorities in the Ongoing Operations against Boko Haram Terrorists and Other Threats to Peace and Security.”

He said the presentation at the centre was part of the Army chief’s programme on his official visit to the US.

Usman said Buratai emphasised the fact that the fight against terrorism was one that concerned the entire global community and not only the countries.

He said the chief of army staff talked about addressing the issues of insecurity in Nigeria at the strategic, tactical and operational levels as well as the challenges in tackling the threat of terrorism.

Usman said the Army chief applauded the strategic leadership provided by President Buhari in the reinvigorated fight against Boko Haram.

“Buratai enumerated the Presidential strategic directive of relocating the Military Command and Control Centre from Abuja to Maiduguri, which was followed by the directive of defeating the insurgents by the end of December 2015.

“He spoke about the involvement of neighbouring countries, as well as provision of necessary arms and logistics, assisted in the defeat of the terrorists.

“Buratai maintained his stand to undertake and sustain the current level of operations to ensure complete defeat of the Boko Haram terrorists.

“The aim is in ensuring the safety and freedom for all abducted persons and creation of favourable environment that would permit the return of all refugees and internally displaced persons to their original home,’’ he said.

Buratai , Usman noted, also informed his audience of the Army’s commitment to developing capacity through local training and international collaboration in the provision for equipment, training support, equipment maintenance, intelligence and respect for human rights.

He said Buratai sought the support and understanding among all cooperating agencies and international partners for a collective action against Boko Haram terrorists.
