• Governor Nyesom Wike calls for anarchy is condemnable

    By Nelson Ekujumi

The Committee for the Protection of Peoples Mandate (CPPM) condemns in strong and unmistakable terms, a recent statement credited to Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state as published in (The Punch newspaper of Saturday 5th March, 2016) asking “All political appointees and leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state to resist any form of arrest by security agents on trumped up charges”.

We regard this statement which emanated from the office of an executive governor of a state who swore on oath to abide by the constitution as barbaric, crude, irresponsible, provocative, inciting, reckless, invitation to anarchy and unbecoming of the occupant of the exalted seat of governor of a state in the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

This call for violence by Mr. Nyesom Wike should be seen as an act of desperation and intimidation against the security agencies who are constitutionally empowered to ensure public safety and order through the arrest or invitation of any person or group of persons for questioning or for acts deemed as threat to the constitution.

However, we are not surprised by Mr. Nyesom Wike’s reckless call for violation of the constitution by his appointees and party members in the run up to the rerun elections in the state in view of his past utterances and actions which is a threat to national security, democracy, public order and safety and has manifested in Rivers state becoming the hotbed of violence in the federal Republic of Nigeria before, during and after the conduct of the 2015 general elections, till date.

Mr. Wike by this call for breakdown of law and order has shown that he has no respect for the fundamental rights of the people of Rivers state and the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and is determined go to any length to violate the constitution, so long as it doesn’t align with his whims and caprices.

We want it placed on record that Mr. Nyesom Wike by this irresponsible statement has entered the record books as the first elected governor since the return to democratic rule in 1999 in Nigeria to publicly call for a breakdown of law and order and a violation of the constitution.

We wish to use this medium to alert Nigerians and the whole world that Mr. Nyesom Wike by this barbaric statement of call for anarchy has shown that civility and respect for the constitution which is one of the tenets of democracy is immaterial and irrelevant and so, he should be personally held responsible for any breakdown of law and order before, during and after the rerun elections in Rivers state.

We hereby call on the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to immediately order the security agencies to place Mr. Nyesom Wike, the executive governor of Rivers state under security surveillance because of his constant threat to national security, democracy and the constitution as an advocate and sponsor of violence.

    Thanks.
    Yours Sincerely,
    Signed.
    Nelson Ekujumi.
    Executive Chairman.

  • JUST IN: Buhari in a quandary about what to do next as some N'Delta militants state new demands in an open letter

    06/Sep/2016 // 3034 Viewers

PARIS, SEPTEMBER 6, 2016: (DGW) SOME  Niger Delta militants have written an open letter to President Buhari stating a new demand over the deprivation the ethnic nationality within the federation of Nigeria has suffered under successive Nigerian governments.

The militants under the auspices of ORO FREEDOM FIGHTERS demand that a new state be carved out of the present Akwa Ibom State to be called Atlantic State adding that Oro Community produces over 80%  of the oil production in the state:

Below is a copy of the letter sent just sent  to our Paris newsroom:

    ''General Muhammadu Buhari,

    The President,

    Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces,

    The Federal Republic of Nigeria.

    Your Excellency,

We respectfully commend your amiable effort in fighting corruption in Nigeria and the attempts to strengthen various aspects that were adversely deteriorating in this country, especially in the area of insecurity; we are solidly behind your administration.

With pains and anger in our hearts, we are using this medium to state our plights, sufferings, and total marginalization in Akwa Ibom state. We are the Oro Freedom Fighters group whose mission is to fight for our rights and privileges belonging to us by virtue of our natural endowments, as well as our rights provided in the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the African Charter on Human and Peoples Rights, and the various UN conventions and protocols on Human Rights. One of these rights is the right to “self-determination”.

Oro as a nation has been deprived, insulted, and persecuted in Akwa Ibom state. Oro nation is made up of five local government areas in Akwa Ibom state, and it is the largest and major oil producing area/ethnic group/community, not only in Akwa Ibom, but in Nigeria. Oro contributes 88% oil production in Akwa Ibom state and in Nigeria.

Since the creation of Akwa Ibom state in September 1988 till date, Oro has never produced the governor of the state. Oro sons and daughters have never been appointed into any of the juicy positions in the state government, and any huge establishment despite the fact that we boast an excellent number of qualified persons in all fields of human endeavor, and that we produced the highest percentage of crude oil from which Akwa Ibom state receives the huge allocation that is used to oppress the people of Oro.

    Demand for own state:

The rotational agreement that was put in place to produce Akwa Ibom state’s executives and other political offices has always been dishonoured, scuttled, and ignored whenever it is the turn of Oro to lead. It is as a result of all these and many other evils meted to Oro in Akwa Ibom that we are hereby agitating and demanding for our own state. A new state, separated from Akwa Ibom, but part of Nigeria. We have been patient for too long, and our patience has evaporated.

In the entire Oro nation, there are no good roads, no sophisticated and well equipped medical center, no pipe borne-water, no power supply, etc. There are absolutely no facilities in Oro, yet we owned a huge percentage of the resources that drives the economy of the state and the country. We the youths of Oro have now risen to say that the era of darkness and enslavement is no more. Oro demands and needs Atlantic State!
We hereby warned that failure to put in place infrastructural developments in Oro, and failure to grant us our wish of having our own state as soon as possible will lead to very unpleasant state of affairs in Akwa Ibom state. A STITCH IN TIME SAVES NINE.

In the previous government, precisely the time of our amiable president, late Alhaji Musa Yar’adua, the issues concerning Atlantic state were raised and ware at the peg of conclusion. But, due to the unfortunate demise of Alhaji Musa Yar’adua, the plans to establish the Atlantic State of Oro were abandoned on the connivance of the previous governor of Akwa Ibom State Godswill Akpabio.

Today, we wish to review the sovereignty that will demarcate Oro from Ibibio and Annang ethnicity. Oro people are tired of marginalization, cheating, neglect, and enslavement; and more annoyingly, all these are done to us with our resources. The area which produces the highest percentage of oil that places Akwa Ibom in the position where it is the major oil producing state in Nigeria is not recognized.

Five local government areas such as Mbo, Udung Uko, Oron, Okobo and Urueoffong/Oruko should be included in new state

We the Freedom Fighters Group consisting of the five local government areas such as Mbo, Udung Uko, Oron, Okobo and Urueoffong/Oruko has unanimously and aggressively agreed to die for our right if nothing positive is done urgently to remedy damages caused. The youth will be ready to stop every companies operating in our area such as Mobil, Oriental Energy, Addax, Exxon Mobil, Total EF, Eco-Drill and universal to vacate their operation both onshore and offshore, since we have not been recognized and given our due. In addition, we are ready to unleash carnage, and destruction never before seen in Akwa Ibom State. If we cannot enjoy, they will not enjoy.

The recent appointment of NDDC Managing Director should have been allocated to Oro as the major oil producing communities/ethnic group in Akwa Ibom. It should have been an Oro person too because we have never occupied any of the top position in the oil industry, whether private and public. This is a grave injustice indeed. These positions have always been diverted to other places, and the Oro person never considered because we have nobody in government to speak for us. Now we are speaking up. If we are not heard and positive actions taken to ameliorate the situation, the repercussion will cause a lot of destructions and damages of lives and properties.

Your Excellency, it is not in our nature to be destructive. But you cannot push a man and show him where to fall. We have taken these steps for the general good of the Oro people, and we are pleading that you use your office to come to our aid, and redeem our plights. We want developments, and we want our own state! Oro deserves better than the insults and evil manipulations we are receiving from the present governor and his boss, his predecessor Godswill Akpabio.''

  • Open letter to Gov Henry Seriake Dickson

    08/Mar/2016 // 760 Viewers

    By Dressman Preye

Compliment of the time your Excellency sir,
I as an active Bayelsan youth who wants nothing but a BETTER BAYELSA after much observations have watched, studied the times and have now decided to use this means and medium to reach you, bearing my mind that posterity will judge everyone of Us for the roles we had or currently playing for the uplifting of our state irrespective of where we find ourselves, and for the fact that Bayelsans are indeed need of a David who must be driven by vision and quest to better his land and people.

Just as I once deed in my Epistle to you in January am writing this to you not as a perfect Bayelsa Youth but as one who wants a BETTER Gloryland for generations to come.

I have been privileged as a youth to see and follow even very closely some of the various past governors of our state for the past 18 to 19 years, right from it's creation in 1st October 1996 with the first military governor Philip Ayeni down to our first indigenous executive governor DSP Alamieyeseigha, yet our state has not in any significant measure moved from its shadow of underdevelopment, infrastructural deficiencies in all sectors as it were before it's creation.

Right from it's time of creation, Bayelsa has never been an industrial state neither has there been any significant evolution of businesses that could boost both job creation/employment and increase relatively our position as a state with one of the lowest internally generated revenues in the niger delta., rather the opportunities that the creation of Bayelsa State and even democracy has brought for our people and Lands to choose/have her own sons and daughters govern them has achieved far more less or better still just this one thing, which is "making a few who had the opportunities to hold in trust political power and position multi millionaires and billionaires" as the case may be while the people continue to wallow in Neglects and abject sufferings.

Bayelsa State was created along other states in 1996 but peering those States with Bayelsa side by side despite the huge Federal government allocations, excess crude revenues among others in the past years which all those other state created along with her never had .

These resources no matter how huge or small they had come has not in any way reflected on our development both as a state and a people, instead this has only shown to us and the whole world the greedy, self serving parochial interests of all those who were and still being given the opportunity to serve and man the affairs of our state and it's resources.

Right from 1999 when we had our first indigenous governor till date, nobody has fought these hard to get re-elected for a second term as you deed thereby breaking that jinx according to many, but I must tell you that these record costs us lives, valuable lives and fortunes paid, these sacrificial prices for your emergence which yes you struggled very hard to get as a politician of the said time should not be wasted on political scheming, propaganda and self serving parochial interests.

Sir from your first term to date, your administration has not in any significant way or measures done more than the first executive governor DSP Alamieyeseigha whom I considered as the only governor that has tried by putting up structures that almost all other successive administration struggled to build on, though compared to the resources at his and their disposal a fare disappointment is what we got as a people and state.

Your Excellency, when you emerged as Governor in your first term, many saw it as an extension of the opportunistic greedy political elites, who have always decided who emerges as Governor and thereby positioning themselves to push and encourage the Deeping of hands collaboratively into our collective state resources and allocations just for their satisfaction and the fattening of themselves, family and political associates.

Well, that's an episode for another time.
But, while you managed to please most of your political associates and sponsors in your first term , you left the people particularly those trying to survive in the rural creeks and villages in total abandonment, our timid youths were left to wonder when and how long things would remain this way, paddling the same boat of stagnation and pity while successive leaders enjoys themselves in Creek Haven.

You traveled the entire Europe and South Africa at a point looking and scouting for "investors" you even went further to establish investment offices opened and funded them in these foreign countries. You and your entourage of senior and respectable Bayelsans used the scarce state resources for all these expensive "investors scouting expeditions" With billions of dollars stacked and spent with no returns.

I could still remember how you flamboyantly hosted the south African first lady and her ambassadorial entourage with hundreds of investment and partnership promises plus MoU signed but till date we as Bayelsans are yet to know what all that translated into, or maybe it was just to compliment the rich content of the transformation TV series.

Our Countryman governor sir, it amazed me when the "flyover project" trend all over the media in the country like it was a connecting flyover of Yenagoa to Ekeni, Akassa or Agei while States like Anambra with no crude oil money had bigger projects like that constructed and commissioned with no media over fogging it but the azikoro flyover media hype got me thinking if really we were going to have or get any bigger project since this was given all the rating and publicity of sort with a very huge tag already attached to it long before it commissioning.

Sir in as much as I have congratulated you on your second term, I want you to know that it came with a mixed feeling considering the fact that so much was not said by you about alleviating the sufferings of our people during your campaigns.

Your second term elections came with mixed feelings too considering the fact that your major contender was not really a choice for many who feel he contributed in no small measure too to the stagnation of our state because he had not done any better and nothing would have probably stopped him from being the people's favourite across the state, but lo like others after him, he only succeeded in getting wealthier as an ex governor while the state and people got worst services as a leader and these gave most of the people no choice but to continue with you for a second term.

Yes, though your first tenure was like that of Saul in the Bible who started well but at a point was more concern about controlling power blocs and establishing your family in wealth while the people continue to roast in hunger, I believe your second term can be better with a 360% turn around of both leadership, development and management of our declined scarce resources to the sole benefits of the people and state.

Well, many of us despite the ill treatment we got from you in the time past still stood our ground against the worst coming back to Lynch our state and that paved way for you though bloody, you clinched the second chance card to correct your mistakes and redeem yourself from the "Poor Leadership syndrome" that has eaten deep and characterised or is now been associated with almost all our past leaders from the local government, the house of assembly and governors, acting or elected.

Just as I pleaded with you in my Epistle to you a month ago before your swearing-in, am pleading with you again to drop a landmark, am reminding you once again that history will not judge you fairly if you end up like soul in the Bible who was given a chance to redeem himself as the greatest king of Israel and favourite of both the people and God but due to his lack of vision, greed and pride he lost it.

Thereby giving David the son of a poor Shepherd, a nobody from a small tribe and kindred that no one knew the chance and privilege even without any military and leadership skills and abilities to emerge and later became the greatest king ever in Israel becoming the favourite both to the people and to God, till this modern day he's still being celebrated and revered with his grave assuming a sacred place and sight of value, so while sauls reigned and his name and memory just mentioned in the stories king David's own becomes a Legacy that can never be forgotten for many generations to come and for forever .

Former governor and now Senator Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom state will continue to remain a force to be reckon with in that state not because of oratory prowess and charisma but because he left a legacy through he's developmental leadership that cuts across the entire state which can never be forgotten, he has laid a landmark which others must continue to sustain and improve.

Your Excellency sir, you've always appointed hundreds and thousands of people and in most cases, you end up appointing people who lacks vision and drive to advance our state, making them hold positions and appointment simply because you want to keep/maintain a political structure and bloc.

Sir I want you to learn from the experiences of governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State and your brother WIke of Rivers State, that the people are the biggest political power blocs and most particularly youths with vision and driving force to advance the cause of our state and the ijaw nation, these are the people you should make your pillars, start erecting them around the foundation of your government because your legacies will remain in them even long after you must have left office as Executive Governor.

Your Excellency sir, my only advice to you today is "spend and focus more on advancing the infrastructural development of key critical sectors of our state" areas that will drive and have multiple effects across board the development and advancement of our dear state.

And please build leadership legacies in our youths across the state, make them the pillars of your agenda, vision and quest as Governor for the state because by so doing you will become and remain the David that Bayelsans and Bayelsa as a State is yet to have since it's creation.

#God Bless You and Your Government.
#God Bless The Positive Youths Of Our Lands.
    #God Bless Bayelsa State And
    #God Bless The Ijaw Nation.
    Comr DP JOSEPH

  • BBC: Letter from Africa: What has gone wrong for Nigeria’s President Buhari?, by Mannir Dan Ali

    09/Dec/2016 // 693 Viewers

In our series of letters from African journalists, Mannir Dan Ali, editor-in-chief of Nigeria’s Daily Trust paper, looks at why the Nigerian president is finding it hard to please anyone.

Muhammadu Buhari’s second coming as Nigeria’s president one-and-a-half years ago was greeted with a lot of hope and excitement.
There was a collective sigh of relief when he took over from the lacklustre Goodluck Jonathan, who symbolised everything that was wrong with the then ruling party.

Eighteen months down the line, many Nigerians are openly asking whether the 73-year-old president has what it takes to lead Africa’s most populous state, given the enormous challenges that the country faces.
While the president has gained some kudos for his efforts to tackle corruption and for the fact that the military now has the upper hand in the fight against militant Islamist group Boko Haram, which at one point held large swathes of territory in the north-east, little success has been recorded in other areas.

As President Buhari has said, he had the misfortune of coming to power at a time when very low oil prices meant the import-dependent and oil revenue-reliant country was paying a high price for its expensive habits.

Nigerian leaders, and especially Mr Jonathan’s government, never planned for the vagaries of oil prices, which have plummeted from more than $100 (£79) a barrel in 2014 to just above $30.

Mindless corruption ensured that the extra income was carelessly spent and even money allocated for purchasing arms to counter Boko Haram’s insurgency was allegedly pocketed by individuals or diverted to political campaigns.

Mr Buhari admitted he felt like absconding from the job when he found how bad the situation was when he took office in May 2015.

Having won the election on his fourth attempt, Nigerians expected the former military ruler to have an idea or two about how to fix the country’s main challenges: Poor infrastructure, lack of electricity and high unemployment.

    Wifely tongue-lashing

Now some of his supporters are beginning to lose patience.
Even his wife took the unprecedented step of criticising him publicly in a BBC interview where she said she might not support him again if he ran for another term in 2019.

Nearly halfway into his four-year term, Mr Buhari is yet to make some key appointments to drive his vision.

It took him six months to assemble a cabinet and, eight months after the death of one government minister, that post remains vacant.
With many key officials yet to be replaced, there is an air of tentativeness in the operations of many government departments.
It is in the area of the economy that there is even more dissatisfaction given the recession that the country is experiencing.
    ‘Investors are no fools’

The unofficial devaluation of the local currency, the naira, higher food prices and job losses have all made life more difficult for families. Many people just manage to have a meal a day.

The following phrase trended among Nigerians on social media recently: “We are no longer asking President Buhari to develop Nigeria. At this point we are only asking him to return Nigeria to the state it was before he became president.”

Concern was raised about the doubling of the price of food items and the more than 50% fall in the value of the naira.

Similarly, the business community and those with knowledge of the economy are unimpressed with some of his key economic advisers and the direction they are taking.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, who supported Mr Buhari’s election but who has a reputation for sounding like a one-man opposition party, has come out to oppose some of the economic policies of the government, such as the idea of borrowing about $30bn.

“If we do not fix the economy to relieve the pain and anguish of many Nigerians, the gain in fighting the insurgency and corruption will pale into insignificance… Economy neither obeys orders nor does it work according to wishes,” Mr Obasanjo said.

“It must be worked upon with all factors considered and most stakeholders involved. The investors, domestic and foreign, are no fools and they know what is going on with the management of the economy, including the foreign exchange, and they are not amused,” he added.
As things stand now most Nigerians are hoping that President Buhari and his team will get their act together to pull the country out of its biggest economic downturn since the return to civil rule in 1999 – and prove that it was not a mistake to invest so much hope in the man who promised to fix the limping giant of Africa.

  • GOD'S WORD WITH OMOOWA: PATIENCE & FAITH

    10/Mar/2016 // 745 Viewers

                   GOD'S WORD WITH OMOOWA

    GREETINGS BRETHREN!

I WRITE TO YOU  NOT BY MY  POWER AND MIGHT BUT BY THE GRACE OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST WHO ADJURES YOU  TO  HEAR HIS WORD. THE WORD THAT WILL SHAPE OUR LIVES AND SECURE A PLACE FOR US HEREAFTER.

GOD'S WORD TODAY WILL BORDER ON PATIENCE AND FAITH. THESE TWIN VIRTUE  ACTUALLY TEST OUR CHRISTIAN FAITH. IT IS POSSIBLE FOR

US TO PRACTISE, SEEKING THE FACE OF GOD.

ABRAHAM EXHIBITED IT AND IT PRODUCED FOR HIM  A MARVELOUS RESULT, AN ODD  WHICH HE THOUGHT WAS TOTALLY IMPOSSIBLE WAS

SUDDENLY REVERSED BY TRUST, FAITH  AND PATIENCE. ABRAHAM, THE BIBLE RECORDED, WAS WELL-STRICKEN IN YEARS WITH NO CHILD ON

THE HORIZON EXCEPT THE ONE HE HAD BY THE EGYPTIAN BONDMAID  HAGGAR  NAMED ISHMAEL. IN THE NICK OF TIME GOD VISITED HIS

WIFE SARAH AND WHOSE CONCEPTION CAME AT AN ADVANCED AGE IN FACT AFTER IT HAD CEASED TO BE WITH HER  THE MANNER OF ALL WOMEN..

THIS BIZARRE SITUATION TAKES US BACK TO GOD'S WORD AS RECORDED IN THE BOOK OF LUKE AND I QUOTE, ''FOR WITH GOD, NOTHING SHALL BE IMPOSSIBLE''

ABRAHAM DID NOT OBTAIN THIS SPECIAL FAVOR FROM GOD FOR NOTHING. HE GOT IT IN RETURN FOR OBEDIENCE AND TOTAL SUBMISSION TO THE WILL OF ALMIGHTY GOD.

THROUGHOUT HIS PERIOD OF CHILDLESSNESS, HE WAS PATIENT AND TRUSTED GOD AND OF COURSE REMAINED FAITHFUL UNTIL GOD REMEMBERED HIS FAMILY.

ABRAHAM, THE BIBLE SAYS NEVER STOPPED TRUSTING GOD KNOWING FULL WELL, GOD'S WORD WILL WORK FOR ANYONE WHO NOT ONLY BELIEVES IN IT BUT PRACTISES IT.

AMID THE AGONIZING SEARCH FOR A CHILD, HE DID NOT CEASE TRUSTING GOD'S WORD. HE COULD  HAVE GIVEN UP AS AN OCTOGENARIAN  BUT A CHILD DID  NOT COME TO THAT UNION UNTIL ABRAHAM WAS 100 YRS OLD.

THERE IS, OF COURSE, A LESSON TO BE LEARNED  HERE WHICH I SHALL NOW REPHRASE FOR CLARITY AND BREVITY, ''WHAT IS ''BIOLOGICALLY' IMPOSSIBLE WITH MAN IS POSSIBLE WITH GOD'' IN HIS CAPACITY AS THE CREATOR GOD.

AS LUCK WOULD HAVE IT, ABRAHAM BEGOT THE CHOSEN  FIRSTBORN, ISSAC,  WHEN HE WAS 100 YRS OLD WHICH WAS A NOVELTY IN NO UNCERTAIN TERMS.

BRETHREN, WE FIND THESE RECORDED IN THE BOOK OF GENESIS 17: 7 AND 21:2.

HE DID NOT  HAVE TO DIVORCE HIS WIFE SARAH EVEN WHEN EVERY HOPE HAD WANED. I THINK HE DESERVE A PAT ON THE BACK FOR THAT RARE DISPLAY OF PATIENCE AND TOLERANCE.

A SIMILAR INCIDENT WAS RECORDED IN THE FAMILY LIFE OF ELI AND HANNAH WITH HANNAH HARD HIT. ELI HAD ANOTHER WIFE NAMED PENINAH WHO GAVE HER HUSBAND CHILDREN.

HANNAH COULD NOT BUT PRAYED CEASELESSLY TO GOD AMID AGONIZING RIDICULE BY PENINAH. ELI INTERVENED PACIFYINGLY WHICH FELL ON DEAF EARS BECAUSE SHE NEEDED HER'S.

THERE IS A DAY SET ASIDE BY GOD FOR EVERYONE TO RECEIVE FROM HIM AND ON THAT APPOINTED DAY AND TIME NO FORCE ON EARTH CAN STOP YOU, BUT THIS IS NOT WITHOUT A CONDITION. THE CONDITION ATTACHED TO THIS IS NOTHING SHORT OF OBEDIENCE TO GOD'S WORD.

HANNAH'S PRAYERS WERE ANSWERED WHILE PRAYING FERVENTLY  IN THE TEMPLE AT A PERIOD WHEN SHE WAS MISTAKEN FOR A DRUNK RESULTING FROM THE MANNER SHE PRAYED AT THE TIME.

GOD AGAIN DEMONSTRATED THE UNFAILING EFFICACY AND SUPREMACY OF HIS WORD WHICH BY A DINT OF PATIENCE EXHIBITED BY HANNAH MANIFESTED IN HER LIFE. THAT,  OF COURSE, FOUND EXPRESSION IN THE BIRTH OF SAMUEL. SAMUEL BECAME A SPECIAL CHILD IN RELIGIOUS LIFE OF ISRAEL.

BRETHREN, OUR NARRATIVES WILL NOT BE COMPLETE WITHOUT TOUCHING ON THE LIFE OF ELIZABETH WHO GOD ALSO VISITED THAT FOUND EXPRESSION IN THE CONCEPTION AND BIRTH OF JOHN THE BAPTIST.

JOHN THE BAPTIST ALSO  BECAME A SPECIAL CHILD THAT SHAPED THE RELIGIOUS LIFE OF A NATION IN DIRE NEED OF GOD'S WORD AND BY EXTENSION THE WHOLE WORLD.

NOTHING WORKS LIKE PATIENCE AND FAITH MY DEAR PEOPLE OF GOD BUT WHILE WE OBSERVE THESE, WE MUST ACCOMPANY THEM WITH PRAYERS AS THE ONLY THING THAT SPURS GOD INTO ACTION IN OUR LIVES.

THERE IS ALWAYS A REASON FOR EVERY SITUATION AND TR Y AS WE MIGHT TO CHANGE  IT EMPLOYING PHYSICAL EFFORTS, MAN HAS ALWAYS FAILED AT EVERY TURN. THEREFORE, PATIENCE AND FAITH HAVE BECOME THE GOLDEN RULE TO  APPLY IF ONE ACTUALLY WANTS  TO  RECEIVE FROM GOD.

THIS DOES NOT ONLY BORDER ON CHILDREN BUT OTHER THINGS WE DESIRE FROM GOD WHICH WE HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO GET. GOD HAS SAID THAT  IT IS NOT PART OF HIS  PLANS TO DENY US OF GOOD THINGS. NOWHERE IN THE HOLY WRIT HAS HE SAID SO AS A MATTER OF FACT.

  • Must Read: Shocking confession by Musa Abdullah on Biafra, N'Delta

    11/Sep/2016 // 3098 Viewers

*Warning : This is very urgent to both those supporting Biafra and Niger Delta republic, read carefully and change your mind set especially the Niger deltans

    Good Evening Biafrans,

My name is Musa Abdullah from Kano state. I studied at Lagos state University and presently working with Kano University of Science and Technology, Wudil.

Due to my education, I have been enlightened as to the happenings in Nigeria. We in the North voted for Buhari because he is our brother. We wanted power to return to the North. We knew he cannot fix anything in Nigeria. In our mosques, they always taught us to make sure we remove that infidel call Jonathan.

We were meant to hate Jonathan with our spirit, soul and body. Infact, Igbos living in the North were very very lucky. They escaped death by the whiskers through the victory of Baba. Had Baba lost, my brothers where already on standby waiting for instructions to lynch any pig from the South. I was personally in the situation room as things unfold. I felt for the Igbos then. I really pitied them. I knew that my brothers in the North had been brain washed but I dare not speak. I sighed in relief when Baba was declared the winner and my brothers where told to relax, that they should go to the streets and celebrate. That was how the bloodshed was averted to the glory of Allah. I knew something was really wrong with my brothers. Kano gave Buhari the highest vote. It was massively rigged in his favour. That was why the INEC officer in charge of Kano was burnt alive with his family after the election to cover up the rigging. I wept for my people.

Now what are we seeing? Baba has abandoned us. My brothers in the North are dying every day of hunger. Prices of things are so high, we can't even eat three square meal a day. My Northern Elders are not worried. They are only after power remaining in the North. Not only that, my concern now is what is about to come. They have already planned on how to deal with the Niger Deltans. Of course you are aware that all the military personnel and weapons have been deployed in Niger Delta. They are planning to use the Leaders of MEND to penetrate the creeks. Their only fear now is that IRAN and Russia are behind the Niger Delta Avengers. They have also contacted Jonathan trying to make him sign an agreement that will further enslave the Niger Deltans but Jonathan refused. So Baba is very angry with Jona and will do everything possible to silence the Niger Delta Avengers. As am typing now, Niger Delta has been rounded up militarily. Magnus Abe, Rotimi Amaechi, APC chairman and the leaders of MEND are in the master plan.

As for Biafrans, you people are very lucky. Buhari and my Northern Elders knew that Nnamdi Kanu has already created the awareness for you people. So they are planning now to cut South South out of Biafra so that only the five Eastern states can go with their Biafra. Nnamdi Kanu will soon be released but they want to perfect the exclusion of South South from your Biafra. We know that one Nigeria is just because of Oil. Wallahi, had it been we were the ones with the oil, Nigeria would have divided since. Please let your brothers not protest again because Baba will kill again. Nnamdi Kanu's release is very soon but they are just making sure Niger Delta is cut off from your proposed Biafra. You people should not think that there will be anything like 2019 election, Baba will use Biafra issue as an excuse to postpone the election. South East has already been declared as Biafra, so don't expect any federal government project in your region. You have been written off already.

My advice is that you should continue to create awareness both nationally and internationally. Don't relent even though Biafra is very close.
You will get BIAFRA INSHA ALLAH

    our own country.

  • Open Letter To Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu.

    13/May/2016 // 1327 Viewers

    Dear sir,

We, the undersigned, on behalf of members of Edo Patriots, Italy Chapter,  wish to convey to you the message of goodwill following an exhaustive meeting designed to look into a farrago of innuendoes, aspersions and negative assertions hitherto directed at your person by some political ill-bred opponents and mischief makers.

It is on social fora, print and electronic media that you served under the erstwhile Governor of Edo state, Chief Lucky Igbinedion as the Secretary to the State Government, (SSG), and on the strength of that you breached their "constitution," to vie for any elective office in the state. Your ardent followers, teeming fans, apologists, friends and well-meaning people of the state see it as an attempt to further build your profile as a man that has worked for the good of the state and having the essential requirements and additional desiderata  to lead and not the ill-conceived plot by your adversaries  to make you an accessory after the fact of a felony allegedly committed  by your erstwhile boss.

In a similar vein, it is on the grapevine that you left APC for PDP because you were not given an expressed consent or "anointed" as a candidate of the incumbent to becoming the governor of Edo state, on this, it is noteworthy to say that in your capacity as a trained lawyer, you know the electoral process as enshrined in the constitution and on the strength of this, you cannot abase yourself with trivialities rather would want to go all out with any opponent because you are better equipped with the peoples' support  to defeat any opponent in the political battlefield. Also, It will even amount to a mere dissipation of energy by going the other way, when the legal procedure is opened and favorable to you.

Similarly, it was rumored that your initial defection from PDP was necessitated by the fact that you were not in tune with the party stalwarts at the period under review, but emerging facts have  proven that wrong. Your unflinching respect for the rule of law and truism in the dispensation of governance have remained your watchword and this has continued unchallenged even to those that see you as their Achilles heels.

Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, Edo State gubernatorial hopeful

In this , we commend your effort for standing on the side of truth and this calls to mind, one of your learned colleague's famous quote that it is better to "stand for the truth even if standing alone." You rode out the storm and today, you remain a darling and a friend of the party and its members for your doggedness and uprightness.

As if that is not enough, mischief makers went to work again to further pursue and perfect their nefarious agenda - to deny you the possibility of contesting in the forthcoming gubernatorial elections (because they see you as their nightmare) by implicating you in the ongoing financial crime investigation by EFCC.

Immediately, it was confirmed that you were invited by the Anti-graft Agency, they went on air and blew the matter out of proportion in an attempt to cast an ugly shadow over you, but you were calm and correct, and with the presence of mind  you were able to dispel their negative assertions with a trivial  hand. Once more, good triumphed over evil!

It is in good faith that we see you pursuing your ambition and the purpose is to bring about a better Edo State, to this end, we implore you to continue your journey, though circuitous,  with diligence and faith in God that has brought you this far.

We want to say thank you for accepting this onerous task and remain undaunted with distractions from the-never-do-well.  As you find your way through this lofty journey, we pray that God directs your steps.

    Best Wishes.

  • Benue State Health workers' open letter to Gov. Ortom

    14/Dec/2015 // 712 Viewers

Samuel Ortom, Governor of Benue State

PARIS, DECEMBER 14, 2015: The employees of Benue State Hospital Management Board in a letter have expressed their displeasure with the state governor over the non-payment of their salary arrears for the past eighteen months.

In a letter made available to DailyGlobeWatch  Sunday, December 13, 2015, the workers lamented over the nonpayment and inaction on the part of the state government since the first letter dated September 18 was first written and duly despatched to the governor stating their plight.

Below is the full text of the letter sent to our Paris newsdesk

PAY US OUR 18 MONTHS SALARY IMMEDIATELY AND UNCONDITIONALLY - The plight of some staffs of the Hospitals Management Board Makurdi, employed 30th June 2014 in a replacement exercise.

    Your Excellency,

This letter is coming to you four months after our first open letter dated 18th, September, 2015. It is no news we have been employed and neglected for the past eighteen months while we continue to work in the different health facilities we were posted to. Over four months after our first open letter to you, you have remained adamant to our plight and predicament, leaving us in anguish.

It is disheartening to know that an already feeble, ischemic and strangulated health system is handled in such a repulsive manner.
After our employment, we worked under for eleven (11) months under the past administration and for seven (7) months now in your administration. Within this period, we have been paid only April 2015 salary and the payment came between 29th and 30th October 2015. We have not been in any way treated as people who are contributing to the health system of the state and we have totally run out of patience. How do we feed our families?  How do we pay our children’s school fees? How do we pay our house rent? How do we settle other compulsory bills and even transport ourselves to work especially amidst the hike in fuel prices and its scarcity?
Your Excellency Sir, you may wish to be reminded that we were employed on 30th June 2014 and we resumed duty in early July (letters of assumption of duty written and sent to the board). We received our sub-head numbers on October 31, 2014, and we completed the payroll application forms of UBA brought along with the sub-head numbers to our various facilities same day and submitted. We also appeared in the computer room of the ministry of finance on request for the all important biometric screening exercise between 27th and 28th April  2015 after which the state government’s staff identity cards were printed and given to us. Ironically, from that moment till date we have been patient in tribulations but law abiding even in our pitiable conditions. When the bail-out funds were accessed, all we received was a month salary. How do we now agree with your usual saying that ‘’a worker deserves his wage’’? Your screening committee has blatantly refused to screen us in the on-going staff verification exercise stating that you have ordered them not to screen us. We are hungry and are beginning to exhibit the characteristics of a hungry man and this is because our peaceful demonstration in the Hospitals Management Board on the 17th,
    August, 2015 yielded no result.
Our plea to get an audience in the Benue peoples’ house for around table discussion in August 2015 and even with a follow-up reminder to you in September was also turned down. Our quest to having an audience for clarifications with our supervisory Ministry, the Ministry of Health has also proven abortive. We, however, resorted to writing this second letter as law abiding and peace loving citizens of the state.
The most unfortunate of all is the recent demise of one of us, Mr. Terlumum Chia who died on active duty. Until his death, Mr. Chia was a Mechanic/Driver employed legitimately in June 2014. However, Mr. Chia died in the course of contributing his quota to the service of his fatherland. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace. Amen.
We are diligent and hard working staffs of Benue State Government who
have pledged our unalloyed support to give the better part of our productive lives to the services of the state by working assiduously in improving Health Care delivery to the entire Benue citizenry as encapsulated in the high points of your administration’s blueprint.
While we wait in positive anticipation for your prompt and favourable response, please be assured of our highest esteem and regards.
    Signed
Concerned 2014 Employees of Benue State Hospitals Management Board
